Every individual wheel assembly on your Kia EV2 is equipped with a sensitive tyre pressure sensor securely mounted directly inside the tyre directly behind the valve stem. If you drive your Kia EV2 for approximately 10 minutes at consistent speeds exceeding 25 km/h (16 mph) after replacing a low-pressure tyre with the spare wheel, one of the following diagnostic responses will occur:

• The TPMS malfunction indicator may blink continuously for about 1 minute before remaining solidly illuminated because the active TPMS sensor is not currently mounted on the spare wheel, while the removed tyre equipped with its sensor remains outside the vehicle structure.

• The TPMS malfunction indicator will stay continuously illuminated throughout your journey because the active tyre pressure sensor is not mounted on the spare wheel and remains stored inside the vehicle cabin.

You may not always be able to identify a low-pressure tyre simply by looking at its exterior appearance. Always use a reliable, high-quality tyre pressure gauge to accurately measure your tyre inflation pressures. Please note that a tyre that is hot from recent driving will display a significantly higher pressure reading than a tyre that is cold—meaning it has remained stationary for at least 3 hours and has been driven less than 1.6 km (1 mile) during that 3-hour window.

Always allow your tyres to cool down completely before measuring their inflation pressures. Furthermore, always verify that the tyres are completely cold before adding air to reach the manufacturer's recommended pressure levels.

A cold tyre is officially defined as one where the vehicle has been parked and stationary for at least 3 hours and driven for a distance of less than 1.6 km (1 mile) within that same 3-hour timeframe.

WARNING

• The advanced Tyre Pressure Monitoring System on your Kia EV2 cannot alert you to severe, instantaneous tyre damage caused by sudden external hazards such as sharp nails, deep potholes, or unexpected road debris.
