To ensure completely safe and effective operation when handling an unexpected puncture on your Kia EV2, carefully read, understand, and follow all instructions outlined in this manual before attempting to use the equipment.

WARNING

• Never attempt to use the TMK to repair large punctures, major structural tears, or extensive damage located along the tyre sidewalls. In these compromised situations, the sealing compound will not fully seal the aperture, and continuous air leaks will occur, potentially leading to sudden tyre failure while driving your Kia EV2.

• Have your damaged tyre professionally inspected and repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Even after successful emergency inflation with the TMK, the tyre may gradually lose air pressure at any time under normal driving conditions.

• Do not exceed a maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) when driving your Kia EV2 with a temporary tyre sealed using the TMK. Whilst driving, if you experience any unexpected mechanical vibrations, unusual ride disturbances, or abnormal road noise, immediately reduce your vehicle speed and drive with extreme caution until you can safely pull off the roadway to a secure location.

CAUTION

If you encounter a situation where two or more tyres are simultaneously flat on your Kia EV2, do not attempt to use the TMK. The supplied canister of sealing compound contained within a single kit contains only enough active sealant for one individual tyre.

When the Tyre Mobility Kit is properly and meticulously deployed, your Kia EV2 can remain mobile and safely operable even after experiencing an unfortunate tyre puncture during your journey.

The integrated system comprising an electric air compressor and high-efficiency sealing compound works cohesively to effectively seal most standard tread punctures—such as those caused by nails, screws, or similar sharp objects—while simultaneously reinflating the tyre to operational pressure.

After verifying that the tyre has been successfully sealed and inflated, drive your Kia EV2 cautiously at a restricted maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) to reach the nearest professional service station or authorized tyre dealer for permanent tyre replacement.

Unavoidable air pressure loss or temporary puncture repairs may adversely affect overall tyre performance, vehicle handling, and braking stability.

For this precise reason, you should strictly avoid making abrupt steering inputs, harsh acceleration, or other aggressive driving manoeuvres, especially if your Kia EV2 is heavily loaded with passengers and cargo or if you are towing a trailer.

The TMK is explicitly engineered as an emergency roadside measure and is not intended as a permanent tyre repair solution; furthermore, it is strictly designed to be utilized for a single tyre repair only.

Notes on the safe use of the Tyre Mobility Kit

• Park your Kia EV2 securely on a flat surface on the side of the road so that you can operate and use the TMK safely away from passing traffic.

• Always ensure your vehicle cannot roll or move unexpectedly. Even when parked on fairly level ground, always engage the electronic parking brake firmly.

• Only utilize the inflation TMK for sealing and inflating standard automotive vehicle tyres. Only puncture holes located strictly within the flat tread region of the tyre can be effectively sealed using the TMK.

• Never attempt to use this emergency kit on motorcycle tyres, bicycle tyres, or any other unauthorized types of tyres.

• When both the structural tyre body and the metal wheel rim are visibly damaged, do not use the TMK, as doing so compromises your safety.

• The TMK may prove completely ineffective for severe tyre damage involving structural cuts or punctures larger than approximately 4 mm (0.16 inches) in diameter.

  Please contact your nearest Kia dealership immediately if the tyre cannot be made fully roadworthy using the provided Tyre Mobility Kit.

• Do not use the TMK if a tyre has sustained catastrophic structural damage caused by prolonged driving while completely flat or operating with drastically insufficient air pressure.

• Do not remove foreign objects—such as embedded nails, screws, or glass shards—that have penetrated the tyre tread, as pulling them out will accelerate air loss prior to sealant application.

• If your vehicle is parked outdoors in a well-ventilated area, leave the vehicle turned on in utility or ready mode while operating the compressor; otherwise, running the electric compressor for extended periods may eventually drain the 12V auxiliary battery.

• Never leave the active TMK compressor unattended whilst it is being used to inflate your Kia EV2 tyre.

• Do not run the air compressor continuously for more than 10 minutes at a single stretch to prevent internal electric motor overheating and equipment failure.

• Do not operate or use the TMK if the surrounding ambient temperature drops below extreme freezing conditions of -30 °C (-22 °F).

WARNING

• If liquid sealant accidentally makes contact with your bare skin, wash the affected area thoroughly with plenty of fresh water. If skin irritation or redness persists, seek medical attention promptly.

• If sealant splashes or gets into your eyes, gently lift your eyelid and flush continuously with clean running water for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation continues, consult a doctor immediately.

• If sealant is accidentally swallowed, rinse out your mouth thoroughly and drink large quantities of water. However, never administer fluids or attempt to induce vomiting in an unconscious person, and seek immediate professional medical assistance.

• Prolonged or untreated exposure to the chemical sealing compound may cause chemical irritation or structural damage to sensitive human bodily tissues.

CAUTION

Once you have successfully completed the emergency repair of your flat tyre using the TMK, promptly clean and remove all residual sealant from the sensitive tyre pressure sensor and wheel rim surfaces. When reinstalling the fully repaired tyre and wheel assembly back onto your Kia EV2, always cross-tighten the wheel nuts securely to the precise recommended torque value of 11–13 kgf·m (79–94 lbf·ft).

NOTE

• Take out the specialized remover tool conveniently included within your Tyre Mobility Kit packaging. Carefully insert the tool into the designated access hole and pull firmly to detach the wheel cover.

• When removing the decorative wheel cover from your Kia EV2, ensure you use only the official tool provided; utilizing improvised or unauthorized tools may permanently scratch, crack, or damage the wheel cover.
