Kia EV2: If you have a flat tyre (with Tyre Mobility Kit) / Checking the tyre inflation pressure

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver assistance guide / If you have a flat tyre (with Tyre Mobility Kit) / Checking the tyre inflation pressure

After driving briefly so as to properly distribute the sealant within the tyre and ensure structural integrity, carefully check the inflation pressure of your Kia EV2.

  1. After driving approximately 7–10 km (4–6 miles or about 10 minutes), stop at a safe, well-lit location clear of traffic.

  2. Connect the compressor and the tyre connection hose directly to the tyre valve of your Kia EV2.

  3. Connect the power outlet connector securely to the vehicle power supply.

  4. To check the current tyre pressure of your Kia EV2, temporarily turn off the compressor:

    • To increase the inflation pressure, switch on the compressor. To check the current inflation pressure setting accurately, briefly switch off the compressor.

    • To reduce the inflation pressure, press the tyre inflation pressure adjustment valve until the target value is reached.

WARNING

Do not let the compressor run continuously for more than 10 minutes. Otherwise, the device may overheat and be permanently damaged.

CAUTION

Tyre Pressure Sensor

When you use the TMK with a sealant that is not approved by Kia, the tyre pressure sensors on your Kia EV2 may be damaged by that chemical compound. When replacing the tire, remove the approved sealant from the tire pressure sensor and wheel, and have the tire pressure sensors inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.

NOTE

The pressure gauge may show a higher than actual reading when the compressor is running due to active air flow. To get an accurate tyre reading on your Kia EV2, the compressor needs to be turned off.

    Distributing the sealant

Immediately after injecting the liquid sealant into the flat tyre of your Kia EV2, it is mandatory to drive the vehicle for a short distance so that the chemical compound becomes evenly distributed across the interior tread surface of the tyre...
