Kia EV2: If you have a flat tyre (with Tyre Mobility Kit) / Using the Tyre Mobility Kit

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver assistance guide / If you have a flat tyre (with Tyre Mobility Kit) / Using the Tyre Mobility Kit

CAUTION

Detach the speed restriction label from the sealant bottle and place it in a highly visible position inside your Kia EV2, such as on the steering wheel, to remind the driver to maintain lower speeds. If you only need to check or adjust the regular tyre inflation pressure without applying sealant, refer to the dedicated section on checking tyre inflation pressure.

Preparation steps for using the Tyre Mobility Kit in a Kia EV2 emergency flat tyre situation
  1. Vigorously shake the sealant bottle to ensure proper mixture of the compound.

  2. Remove the protective cap from the sealant bottle and firmly screw the bottle directly onto the designated sealant bottle holder on the compressor unit.

  3. Ensure that the pressure release valve on the compressor is completely locked and closed.

  4. Unscrew the protective valve cap from the valve stem of the damaged, defective tyre on your Kia EV2 and connect the compressor delivery hose securely onto the tyre valve.

  5. Make sure the main compressor switch is turned off.

    NOTE

Verify that the tyre inflation pressure adjustment valve on the compressor remains fully closed.

  6. Connect the compressor power cable securely between the compressor unit and the vehicle power outlet inside your Kia EV2 using the provided connectors.

  7. Start the vehicle power system or engine.

  8. Switch on the compressor and allow it to run continuously for approximately 5 to 7 minutes to pump the liquid sealant into the tyre up to the proper operational pressure (refer to technical specifications for tyres and wheels). The exact pressure reading immediately after filling is secondary and will be checked and corrected later.

Be extremely careful not to overinflate the tyre and maintain a safe physical distance away from the tyre while the inflation process is active. If the tyre or wheel assembly is structurally damaged, do not use the Tyre Mobility Kit, as doing so compromises your safety.

  9. Switch off the compressor power switch.

  10. Quickly detach the flexible compressor hose from the repaired tyre valve.

  11. Pack up and return the Tyre Mobility Kit components securely to their designated storage location within your Kia EV2.

WARNING

  • If the measured tyre pressure reads below 200 kPa (29 psi) after pumping, do not drive the vehicle under any circumstances, as doing so may cause a severe driving accident.

  • Never leave your vehicle running inside an enclosed or poorly ventilated garage or area for extended periods, as dangerous carbon monoxide poisoning and fatal suffocation can occur.

CAUTION

Securely and tightly install the sealant filling hose onto the tyre valve. If this connection is loose, liquid sealant may flow backward, potentially clogging or damaging the filling hose.
