When an electronic fault or operational problem occurs within the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System of your Kia EV2, the low tyre pressure indicator light (
) will illuminate solidly after blinking continuously for approximately 1 minute.
In this event, have your vehicle inspected promptly by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or certified service partner for expert electronic diagnostics.
CAUTION
Signal interference factors
The TPMS malfunction indicator on your Kia EV2 may blink for approximately 1 minute and then stay continuously lit if the vehicle is operated near high-voltage electric power supply cables or strong radio frequency transmitters—such as those found near police stations, government facilities, public offices, broadcasting stations, military installations, major airports, or commercial telecommunication transmitting towers. External radio frequency interference can temporarily disrupt normal wireless communication with the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
Similarly, the TPMS malfunction indicator may blink for about 1 minute before remaining illuminated if snow chains are installed or if separate portable electronic devices—such as notebook computers, high-power mobile phone chargers, aftermarket remote starters, or external navigation systems—are actively plugged in or operated inside the cabin of your Kia EV2. Such localized electronic noise can interfere with the normal operation of the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
NOTE
If an active malfunction affects the TPMS on your Kia EV2, the individual low tyre pressure position telltale will not be displayed on your instrument cluster, even if the vehicle happens to be operating with a severely underinflated tyre.
