The ergonomic seat warmer helps keep the seats comfortably warm during cold weather conditions inside your Kia EV2.

With the vehicle in POWER ON position or READY indicator is on:

  • Push either of the dedicated control buttons to warm the driver’s seat or the front passenger’s seat according to personal preference.

During mild weather or under conditions where the operation of the seat warmer is not needed, keep the climate controls turned off.

The seat warmer defaults off whenever the vehicle is placed in POWER ON position or when the READY indicator is active.

Temperature control (manual)

  • Each time you press the control buttons, the temperature setting of the seat will change sequentially as follows:

    • Front seat:

      Off > High > Medium > Low > Off

Temperature control (automatic)

The advanced seat warmer system automatically regulates and adjusts the seat temperature to prevent low-temperature burns after being manually turned on.

Press the button to increase the seat temperature if needed. It will revert to the automatic management mode again after a short period of time.

Turn off the seat warmer manually by pressing and holding the controls for more than 1.5 seconds.

WARNING

Seat Warmer Burns

Passengers should use extreme caution when using seat warmers due to the possibility of excess heating causing burns. The seat warmer may cause minor burns even at low temperatures, especially if used continuously for long periods of time. The driver must exercise heightened care for the following types of passengers:

  1. Infants, children, elderly individuals, disabled persons, or hospital outpatients

  2. Persons with sensitive skin or those who burn easily

  3. Fatigued individuals

  4. Intoxicated individuals

  5. Individuals taking medication that can cause drowsiness or sleepiness (such as sleeping pills or cold tablets)

CAUTION

  • When cleaning the seats, do not use harsh organic solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or petrol. These chemicals may permanently damage the surface of the seat warmer or upholstery.

  • To prevent overheating the seat warmer, do not place thick items on the seats that act as thermal insulators, such as heavy blankets, cushions, or non-approved seat covers whilst the seat warmer is in active operation.

  • Do not place heavy, sharp, or pointed objects on seats equipped with seat warmers, as internal heating wires and components could experience structural damage.

  • Do not replace the factory seat covers independently, as doing so may compromise the integrated seat warmer or air ventilation system.

TIP

When the seat warmer controls are active, the internal heating system adjusts its output automatically based on the precise surface temperature of the seat.

Last mode: (if equipped)

This convenient memory function retains the custom temperature setting of the driver’s seat warmer and ventilated seat even after the Kia EV2 is turned off and restarted.

For example, if the driver’s seat warmer was set to Level 3 (High) prior to shutting down the vehicle, it will automatically resume operation at Level 3 (High) when you start the car again.

Please note that only the direct temperature settings of the driver’s seat warmer and ventilated seat are saved.

  • Select Setup > Vehicle > Seats > Save Driver's Seat Warmer/Ventilation Settings from the central infotainment system.

  • Settings that are adjusted automatically by system logic will either not be saved or will revert to the state prior to that adjustment.

    • If the seat warmer temperature level was lowered automatically due to safety protocols and the vehicle is then turned off, the system will save the initial level set before that automatic adjustment took place.

    • When the Smart Temperature Comfort Control system for the driver’s seat is actively engaged, the manual temperature level will not be saved. For additional details, refer to the smart temperature comfort control system section.
