Kia EV2: Driver assistance guide / Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC): (if equipped)

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver assistance guide / Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC): (if equipped)

When driving on a highway with Smart Cruise Control operating, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) utilizes advanced navigation system data to help maintain a safe, optimized speed according to prevailing road contours and environmental conditions.

TIP

  • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available exclusively on designated highways and controlled-access roads.

A controlled access road features restricted entrances and exits that allow uninterrupted high-speed traffic flow. Only passenger cars and motorcycles are permitted on these designated controlled-access roads.

  • Additional highway networks may become compatible with Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control through future regular navigation system updates for your Kia EV2.

NOTE

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control operates seamlessly on main roads and highways, but it does not control vehicle speed through complex interchanges or structural junctions.

TIP

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) is designed as a supplemental driving aid and is never a substitute for attentive, safe driving practices. It remains your absolute responsibility to continuously monitor vehicle speed and distance from traffic ahead, and to drive your Kia EV2 safely and cautiously.

Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown

When driving at high speeds along a curved highway section, Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown uses precise navigation data to temporarily reduce speed or limit acceleration, helping you navigate the bend safely.

Emergency Stop (ES): (if equipped)

Emergency Stop is an advanced active safety function designed to assist an unresponsive driver in critical scenarios. If the intelligent monitoring systems of your Kia EV2 determine that the driver has become incapacitated or unresponsive, the system maintains the vehicle securely in the center of the road and actively assists in bringing it to a controlled stop through progressive deceleration...
