The doors of your Kia EV2 are equipped with sophisticated electric power windows that can be effortlessly operated using dedicated control switches located on each door armrest.

TIP
During severe freezing weather conditions accompanied by ice and sleet, the power window glass can freeze against the rubber seals, causing temporary operational failure.
The vehicle power system must be placed in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position for the power windows to function normally.
Each individual door features a dedicated switch to control its own window. Additionally, the driver’s master console includes a window lock button that disables the rear passenger switches for child safety. You retain the ability to operate the power windows for approximately 3 minutes after switching your Kia EV2 power system to the OFF position. Opening either front door during this 3-minute window will immediately terminate power window operation.
If any window fails to close completely because an obstruction is blocking its path, clear the obstacle immediately before attempting to raise the glass again.
TIP
Driving your Kia EV2 with the rear windows completely lowered or the sunroof open can sometimes generate an uncomfortable aerodynamic wind buffeting or pulsation noise inside the cabin. This natural acoustic phenomenon can be easily mitigated using the following adjustments:
If the pulsation occurs with one or both rear windows down, slightly lower both front windows by approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) to balance cabin pressure.
If the noise originates from an open sunroof, reduce the sunroof opening size slightly to disrupt the resonance frequency.
NOTE
Never mount aftermarket wind deflectors, visors, or accessories that project into the window channel opening, as such obstructions can interfere with the reliable operation of the automatic reversal jam protection system.
NOTE
Pressing the one-touch window button lightly to execute a minor adjustment will cause the glass to move precisely to your desired height for maximum ventilation convenience.
Window opening and closing
You can seamlessly open and close the windows of your Kia EV2 by manipulating the driver or passenger power window switches.
Type A
To open or close a window incrementally, press down or pull up gently on the front section of the switch to the first detent position (1).
Type B - Auto up/down window : (if equipped)
Pressing down or pulling up firmly past the first stop to the second detent position (2) will fully lower or raise the window automatically, even after you release the switch. To halt the window at any intermediate position while it is in motion, tap or pull the switch briefly in the opposite direction and release it.
To reset the power windows
If the automatic power window system loses calibration and fails to operate correctly, you can easily reset it using the following procedure:
Switch the vehicle power system to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
Close the window fully, and keep pulling upward on the power window switch for a minimum of 1 second after the glass has reached its highest closed position.
Automatic reversal : (if equipped)
If you pull up continuously on the power window switch within 5 seconds after the anti-pinch automatic reversal mechanism triggers, the reversal safety feature will temporarily be overridden for that cycle.
TIP
The automatic reverse anti-pinch safety function is active exclusively when you utilize the fully engaged "auto up" feature by pulling the switch to its second position. It will not engage if you manually hold the switch in the intermediate half-pressed position.
NOTE
To prevent potential injuries or hardware damage, always verify that the window opening is clear of obstructions before closing. Note that slender foreign objects smaller than 4 mm (0.16 inch) in diameter caught between the glass and upper frame may not generate enough resistance to trigger the automatic reversal mechanism.
WARNING
The automatic safety reversal feature is temporarily disabled while you are performing a manual system reset. Ensure all fingers, hands, and foreign objects are completely clear of the window opening before initiating the reset sequence.
NOTE
Do not install window guards or accessories that restrict the upper frame opening, as they can interfere with the proper sensing capability of the automatic reverse safety feature.
Power window lock button
The driver can easily disable the power window switches on the rear passengers’ doors of the Kia EV2 by engaging the power window lock button into the locked position (pressed down).
When the power window lock feature is active:
The driver’s master power window switch retains full capability to operate all passenger windows across the vehicle.
The front passenger’s individual door control remains fully operational for their own window.
The rear passengers’ door controls are deactivated, preventing any unauthorized or accidental window adjustments from the back seat.
NOTE
To prevent electrical overload or potential damage to the power window circuitry, avoid operating two or more windows simultaneously, ensuring optimal longevity for the vehicle fuse.
Never attempt to operate the main master switch on the driver’s door and an individual door switch in opposing directions at the same time, as this action will cause the mechanism to stall and freeze temporarily.

Never leave the smart keys inside your Kia EV2 with unsupervised children.
Never leave any child unattended inside the vehicle cabin under any circumstances, as young children may inadvertently shift vehicle controls, become entangled in moving glass, or cause harm to themselves and others.
Always double-check to verify that all arms, hands, heads, and other obstructions are completely clear of the opening before raising any window.
Never allow children to play with the power window switches. Always keep the driver’s power window lock button engaged in the locked position to prevent serious injury from unintentional window operation.
Do not extend your head or limbs outside the window glass while the vehicle is in motion.
During extremely cold weather conditions, increased mechanical resistance may interfere with the automatic up feature, requiring you to operate the windows manually if necessary.
You can continue to control window movement using your smart key even when the vehicle ignition is turned off.
Press and hold the door lock button (1) for more than 3 seconds. The windows will roll upward sequentially after the doors lock, continuing to move as long as you hold down the button.
Window movement halts immediately the moment you release the door lock button (1).
Press and hold the door unlock button (2) for more than 3 seconds. The windows will lower after the doors unlock, continuing to move as long as you hold the button down.
Window movement stops instantly when you release the door unlock button (2).
You can easily enable or disable the remote window closing and opening functionality via your infotainment system by navigating to Settings > Vehicle > Door > Remote Window Control.
Please note that remote window opening features function exclusively on seating positions equipped with auto up and down safety window mechanisms.
CAUTION
The remote window control function may stop abruptly if you walk too far away from your Kia EV2 during operation. Remain close to the vehicle while actively monitoring the glass movement.
If a single window encounters resistance and stops due to an obstruction, the other windows may continue moving. Always inspect the vehicle to ensure every window is fully closed.
Exercise caution when using the remote window opening feature, as it automatically unlocks the vehicle doors.
