The warning and indicator lights alert you to situations where you should be careful. They also indicate whether various functions are active.
Drive Ready indicator READY
This indicator light illuminates when the vehicle is ready to drive.
ON: You can drive normally.
OFF: You cannot drive normally, or a problem has occurred.
Blinking: You can drive in an emergency.
When the Drive Ready indicator light turns off or blinks, there is a problem with the system. Have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.
Service warning light
This warning light illuminates:
When the EV button is in the POWER ON position. The warning light illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then turns off.
When there is a problem with parts related to the electric vehicle control system, such as the sensors.
If this warning light turns ON whilst you are driving or does not turn OFF after you start the vehicle, have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.
Power down indicator light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the EV button is in the POWER ON position.
When the bonnet is open.
When the power is limited for the safety of the high-powered parts of the electric vehicle.
When the power is limited for the following reasons (unless both the service warning light and power down indicator light appear at the same time, which does not indicate a failure):
The high voltage battery charge level is too low, or the voltage is decreasing.
The high voltage battery temperature is too high or too low.
The motor temperature is high.
NOTE
Do not accelerate or start the vehicle suddenly when the power down indicator light is illuminated.
When the charge level is insufficient, charge the high voltage battery immediately.
NOTE
When the power is limited for the safety of the high-powered parts of the electric vehicle, the power down indicator light illuminates. Your vehicle might not be driveable or might roll back on a slope when this indicator light is illuminated.
Charging cable connection indicator light
This indicator light illuminates when you connect the charging cable.
High voltage battery low level warning light
This warning light illuminates when the high voltage battery charge level is low.
When this warning light illuminates, charge the battery immediately.
Regenerative brake warning light (Red colour) (Yellow colour)
This warning light illuminates when regenerative braking does not operate or perform well. This issue causes the brake warning light (red) and regenerative brake warning light (yellow) to illuminate simultaneously.
If this happens, drive safely and have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.
Engaging the brake pedal might be more difficult than normal. The braking distance might increase as braking defaults to manual hydraulic mode.
