The Safe Exit Warning system actively issues an intelligent collision prevention warning when occupants attempt to exit the vehicle into active traffic.

Collision Warning
When an active hazard is identified, the built-in warning indicator light on the exterior rearview mirror blinks rapidly, a clear warning message appears prominently on the instrument cluster display, and a distinctive audible chime sounds.
A collision warning is immediately activated whenever a passenger door is opened to exit the vehicle whilst an approaching traffic hazard is detected in the blind zone.
Safe Exit Warning provides alerts under the following precise operating parameters:
Your vehicle speed is below 3 km/h (2 mph)
The speed of the approaching vehicle from the rear is above 6 km/h (4 mph)
A detected moving object enters the calculated rear monitoring warning zone
WARNING
For your personal safety, always adjust your infotainment and vehicle settings only after safely parking your vehicle at a secure location.
Safe Exit Warning may occasionally fail to display a visual warning message or emit an audible alert if another high-priority system notification or warning chime is occurring simultaneously.
You might not clearly hear the warning sound of the Safe Exit Warning if external environmental conditions or cabin surroundings are exceptionally noisy.
Safe Exit Warning cannot operate universally in every traffic scenario and is not capable of preventing all potential collisions.
Safe Exit Warning may issue a late warning or omit an alert entirely depending on unusual traffic dynamics and driving conditions. Always visually check your vehicle’s surroundings.
You and your vehicle passengers retain full legal responsibility for any accidents or incidents that occur whilst exiting the vehicle. Always check your surroundings carefully before opening doors.
TIP
After you switch OFF the vehicle ignition, Safe Exit Warning continues to monitor for approximately 3 minutes, but powers down immediately if you lock the vehicle doors from outside.
The visual graphics, icon imagery, or interface colors may appear slightly different depending on your instrument cluster display specifications or active graphic theme layout.
