WARNING
Smart key safety precautions
Never leave the electronic smart keys inside your Kia EV2 with unsupervised or unattended children under any circumstances.
Children naturally imitate adult actions and could easily press the vehicle start button, activate power windows, manipulate critical electronic controls, or inadvertently disengage the gear selector causing unexpected vehicle movement, which could lead to severe bodily injury, permanent disability, or fatality.
Record your key number
The unique key code number is permanently stamped onto the metal key code tag securely attached to your original key set. If you ever lose your keys or require additional replacements, contact a professional workshop immediately. Kia strongly recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer or certified service partner to obtain authentic replacements. Always remove the key code tag from your keyring and store it in a secure, confidential location outside the vehicle for optimal security. Accurately record your key code number and keep that written record in a safe, easily accessible place outside your Kia EV2.
WARNING
Never leave the keys in your vehicle
Leaving children unattended inside your Kia EV2 while keys remain in the cabin presents extreme, life-threatening dangers, even when the vehicle power system is active in POWER ON mode. Unattended children can easily interact with the start button, operate power windows, manipulate secondary cabin controls, or cause the vehicle to move unexpectedly, resulting in catastrophic injury or death. Always take your keys with you and never leave children unsupervised inside the vehicle.
