Route the ISOFIX top tether strap over the seatback carefully, ensuring no twisting occurs along the webbing material.
For vehicles with adjustable headrests, route the tether strap under the headrest and between the headrest posts, otherwise route the tether strap over the top of the seatback securely.
Connect the ISOFIX top tether strap to the designated ISOFIX top tether anchorage, then tighten the ISOFIX top tether strap according to the precise instructions provided by your Child Restraint System's manufacturer to firmly attach the Child Restraint System to the vehicle seat.
WARNING
Take the following vital precautions when installing the ISOFIX top tether strap inside your Kia EV2:
Read and follow all installation instructions provided with your Child Restraint System thoroughly before proceeding.
NEVER attach more than one Child Restraint System to a single ISOFIX top tether anchorage. This dangerous practice could cause the anchorage or attachment hardware to come loose or break under load.
Do not attach the ISOFIX top tether strap to anything other than the correct, factory-designated ISOFIX top tether anchorage points. The system may not function properly if secured to alternative locations.
Child Restraint System anchorages are engineered and designed to withstand only those loads imposed by correctly fitted child restraints.
Under no circumstances are they to be used for adult seatbelts, body harnesses, or for attaching other luggage, cargo, or equipment to the vehicle structure.
