Kia EV2: Fuses / Inner panel fuse replacement

To safely replace a blown fuse located within the interior dashboard panel of your Kia EV2, follow these systematic steps:

1. Make sure the vehicle power system and all electrical accessory switches are fully turned off to the OFF position.
2. Carefully detach and remove the interior fuse panel access cover.
3. Pull the suspected faulty fuse straight outward using the dedicated plastic extraction tool securely stored inside the inner fuse panel cover.
4. Examine the internal metal filament to check if the extracted fuse is indeed blown. If the filament is broken or melted, replace the fuse immediately.

   Convenient spare fuses are stored directly inside the main instrument panel fuse box or within the secondary motor compartment fuse box.

5. To install the replacement, firmly push a new fuse matching the exact same amperage rating into the empty terminals, ensuring it grips tightly into the retaining clips.

   If you do not have an exact matching spare fuse available on hand during an emergency, you can temporarily borrow a fuse of identical amperage rating from a non-essential circuit that you do not need for driving, such as the auxiliary power outlet or cigarette lighter fuse.
