	Keep your eyes on the road and drive carefully.

The Forward Attention Warning system inside your Kia EV2 evaluates real-time driver attentiveness based on metrics such as cumulative duration looking away from the road, frequency of eye closure, and general head posture. If the system detects a lack of proper focus, a distinct chime sounds for approximately 1 second, accompanied by the Forward attention warning light () persisting on the instrument cluster until corrective looking behavior is detected.

Furthermore, if signs of severe drowsiness or sleeping are identified, your Kia EV2 can escalate the alert sequence by displaying an explicit warning message and initiating steering wheel vibration feedback alongside the standard audio-visual indicators.

Operating conditions

When the driver's gaze remains un-focused or directed away from the road continuously for 3 seconds whilst traveling at speeds above 20 km/h (12 mph)
When cumulative glances away from the forward path reach or exceed 10 seconds within any rolling 30-second window while driving at or above 20 km/h
When the driver’s eyes stay closed for 2 seconds or longer while showing signs of severe fatigue, or exceed 3 seconds of closure while operating the Kia EV2 above 10 km/h (6 mph)

Off conditions

When the driver maintains a steady, continuous forward gaze toward the road for over 1 second
When active operational triggers and speed parameters are no longer met
When vehicle velocity drops below the minimum speed threshold required for warning activation

Driver Drowsiness Attention Warning

The Driver Drowsiness Attention Warning continuously evaluates eye status throughout your journey in the Kia EV2. When sustained eye closure or prolonged downward and sideways gazing is detected, the system recommends taking a restorative break to promote absolute driving safety.

An inattentive warning light ( ) illuminates on the cluster display, accompanied by a continuous audible chime until normal attentiveness parameters are restored.

When the driver's eyes remain closed or fail to face forward for extended durations while driving above 10 km/h (6 mph)
