As soon as the physical obstruction is cleared or the optical sensor successfully re-acquires a clear view of the driver’s face, the function will automatically resume normal operation. CAUTION

Do not place garments, accessories, or any other objects over or immediately in front of the camera module while driving your Kia EV2, as this will disrupt the monitoring sensors.
When cleaning the optical lens, gently wipe it with a soft, clean microfiber cloth to prevent scratching the sensitive surface. Avoid using sharp tools, abrasive implements, or chemical solvents near the camera assembly.

When the driver is wearing sunglasses, specialized eyewear, infrared cutoff lenses, high-refraction prescription glasses, or heavily tinted frames
When heavy eye makeup such as thick eyeliner, mascara, theatrical face paint, false eyelashes, or prominent facial piercings around the eye contour obscure the facial structure
When the driver's line of sight or facial features are physically blocked by falling hair, a cap, a hoodie, or other headwear
When the driver is intentionally winking or wearing a medical eye patch over one eye
When the lower or upper portion of the driver’s face is partially covered by a protective face mask, scarf, or muffler
When intense glare or blinding light enters the cabin from outside the vehicle and floods the sensor field
When direct sunlight or external infrared sources reflect off the driver's eyeglasses or sunglasses directly into the camera lens
When the driver turns their head sharply or tilts it downward to an angle where facial features and eyes are hidden from the camera's perspective
When rapid head shaking or severe vehicle vibrations caused by rough, unpaved road conditions affect tracking stability while driving your Kia EV2
When the driver's seating posture is improperly adjusted, positioning the head outside the optimal detection zone
When the driver is exceptionally tall or short, placing their face outside the calibrated vertical scanning range
When multiple occupants look toward the instrument panel simultaneously from the driver’s seating zone

When the approaching vehicle is a long distance away, the image in the main mirror is small and near the inboard edge of the mirror. As the vehicle gets closer, the image in the main mirror gets larger and moves outboard. As the vehicle enters the blind zone, the image transitions from the main mirror to the blind spot mirror. When the vehicle is in the blind zone, the image only appears in the blind spot mirror.
