Operating conditions
When you engage either the left or right turn signal on your Kia EV2, the corresponding live video feed immediately appears on the digital instrument cluster.
Non-operating conditions
The Blind-Spot View Monitor display on your Kia EV2 will automatically turn OFF under any of the following operational conditions:
When you return the turn signal lever to the neutral position and turn the signal OFF.
When the emergency hazard warning lights are actively turned ON.
When a higher-priority driving safety or vehicle warning notification interrupts the instrument cluster screen.
When the Blind-Spot View Monitor system in your Kia EV2 experiences a functional fault, causing the instrument cluster display to flicker, freeze, or fail to render the camera image normally, you should have your vehicle inspected promptly by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner to restore full system integrity.
In certain challenging driving or environmental situations, an abnormal video display may appear on your screen, accompanied by a dedicated warning icon positioned directly in the centre of the Blind-Spot View Monitor interface on your Kia EV2.
When the outside rearview mirror assembly is manually or automatically folded inward against the vehicle body.
WARNING
The Blind-Spot View Monitor system in your Kia EV2 may display surrounding objects at a slightly different perceptual distance than what is shown on the central infotainment display screen due to digital image correction and perspective processing from the Wide Side View camera. Always make sure to visually check your immediate physical surroundings for absolute safety before changing lanes.
Always keep the exterior camera lens impeccably clean to maintain optimal optical performance and reliable Blind-Spot View Monitor operation. Do not clean the camera lens with harsh chemical solvents that may permanently damage the optical surface, including strong detergents containing high alkaline levels or volatile organic solvents such as petrol, acetone, and similar compounds.
