  2. Set speed

You can easily set a specific speed limit on your Kia EV2 whenever you wish to restrict your maximum cruising velocity and avoid driving over a predetermined speed.

If you inadvertently press past the accelerator resistance point and drive over your preset speed limit, the Manual Speed Limit Assist system on your Kia EV2 will immediately activate—causing the set speed limit value to blink on the display while sounding a repeating audible chime—until you naturally back off and return the vehicle speed back within the legally configured limit.

Manual Speed Limit Assist operation

Setting the speed limit

  1. Press and hold the Driving Assist ( Kia EV2 steering wheel driving assist activation button icon) button on your Kia EV2 whilst driving at your desired cruising speed. The Speed Limit ( Kia EV2 instrument cluster active speed limit indicator icon) indicator will appear clearly on the instrument cluster display.

  2. Push the ( Kia EV2 steering wheel switch up icon for incremental speed adjustment) switch up or ( Kia EV2 steering wheel switch down icon for incremental speed decrease) switch down and release it quickly whilst driving at your desired speed.

Alternatively, push the ( Kia EV2 steering wheel switch up control icon) switch up or ( Kia EV2 steering wheel switch down control icon) switch down and hold it firmly. The set speed will incrementally increase or decrease to the nearest multiple of 10 km/h (5 mph) at first, and then continue adjusting smoothly by increments of 10 km/h (5 mph).

    TIP

    • When your foot is resting lightly on the accelerator pedal but not pushed beyond the built-in pressure point, your Kia EV2 will seamlessly maintain your established set speed.

    • The maximum selectable speed limit may vary slightly depending on your specific vehicle regional specifications and powertrain configuration. You cannot configure a set speed higher than your vehicle's engineering limits.
