Kia EV2: Information on data processing / Arrangements for data processing

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver assistance guide / Pan-European eCall system: (if equipped) / Information on data processing / Arrangements for data processing

The eCall in-vehicle system inside your Kia EV2 is engineered with advanced security architecture to ensure that all data contained within the system memory remains completely inaccessible outside the system prior to the actual triggering of an emergency eCall. Additional remarks (if any): Not applicable

Furthermore, the eCall in-vehicle system is meticulously designed to ensure that it remains entirely untraceable and is never subjected to constant tracking or monitoring during normal vehicle operating status. Additional remarks (if any): Not applicable

The internal software of the eCall in-vehicle system is programmed to ensure that all data stored in the system's internal memory is automatically, securely, and continuously purged.

Vehicle location data is constantly overwritten within the internal memory buffer so as to retain only a maximum of the last three up-to-date geographical locations necessary to guarantee the proper functioning of the emergency system.

The activity log file recorded by the eCall in-vehicle system is retained for no longer than strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose of handling the emergency eCall, and under no circumstances beyond 13 hours from the precise moment an emergency eCall was initiated. Additional remarks (if any): Not applicable
