Operating condition(s)

When the vehicle is running or powered on, the dedicated air bag warning light appears on the instrument cluster for approximately 3–6 seconds to perform a self-diagnostic check and then turns off automatically if everything functions normally.

Malfunction

The air bag warning light does not turn on briefly during startup when the vehicle is running or powering on.
The air bag warning light stays continuously illuminated after remaining on for the initial 3–6 seconds check period.
The air bag warning light comes on unexpectedly whilst the vehicle is moving on the road.
