Operating condition(s)

  • When the vehicle is running or powered on, the dedicated air bag warning light appears on the instrument cluster for approximately 3–6 seconds to perform a self-diagnostic check and then turns off automatically if everything functions normally.

Malfunction

  • The air bag warning light does not turn on briefly during startup when the vehicle is running or powering on.

  • The air bag warning light stays continuously illuminated after remaining on for the initial 3–6 seconds check period.

  • The air bag warning light comes on unexpectedly whilst the vehicle is moving on the road.
