  1. Park the vehicle and engage and hold the brake pedal.
  2. Shift the gear to P (Park).
  3. Apply the parking brake.
  4. Press the EV button to turn your Kia EV2 OFF.
  5. Check to make sure the READY indicator light is off and the parking brake symbol displays on the instrument cluster. When the READY indicator light illuminates and the gear is in a position other than P (Park), you can accidentally engage the accelerator pedal and cause the vehicle to move unexpectedly.
