If there is a decrease in the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) operating range:
- Check the distance. The transmitter may be too far from the vehicle.
- Check the location. Other vehicles or objects may be blocking the signal.
- Check the transmitter's battery. See “Battery Replacement” later in this
section.
- If the transmitter is still not working correctly, see your dealer or a
qualified technician for service.
Warning
Leaving children in a vehicle with an ignition key or Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) transmitter is dangerous and children or others could be seriously injured
or killed...
The RKE transmitter functions may work up to 60m (197 ft) away from the vehicle.

Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide (CO), which cannot be seen or smelled.
Exposure to CO can cause unconsciousness and even death.
Exhaust may enter the vehicle if:
The vehicle idles in areas with poor ventilation (parking garages,
tunnels, deep snow that may block underbody airflow or tail pipes)...
The brake master cylinder reservoir is filled with GM approved DOT 4 (1500) or
DOT 3 (2500/3500) brake fluid as indicated on the reservoir cap. See Engine Compartment

Checking Brake Fluid
With the vehicle in P (Park) on a level surface, the brake fluid level should
be between the minimum and maximum marks on the brake fluid reservoir...
