The auxiliary power outlet supplies electrical power for mobile phones, portable electronics, or other compatible accessories designed to operate seamlessly with the vehicle's electrical system.

Connected accessories should draw less than 15A of current while the vehicle is in POWER ON position or when the READY indicator is illuminated.
WARNING
Electric shock
Never insert fingers, metal pins, or foreign objects such as pens into the power outlet socket, and avoid touching the metal contacts with wet hands, as this can cause a severe electric shock.
NOTE
Use the power outlet only when the vehicle is in POWER ON position or the READY indicator is active, and remove the accessory plug promptly after use. Leaving an accessory plugged in for prolonged periods while the vehicle is OFF will cause the 12V battery to discharge.
Only connect 12V electrical accessories that consume less than 15A in total electric capacity.
Adjust the cabin air conditioner or heater blower to a moderate level when powering heavy loads through the outlet to optimize electrical distribution.
Always close the protective integrated cover securely when the power outlet is not in active use.
Certain low-quality electronic accessories can introduce electrical interference into the Kia EV2 when plugged into the power outlet, resulting in audio static or system malfunctions.
Push the accessory plug firmly into the socket as far as it will go. Poor electrical contact can cause dangerous overheating and blow the protective fuse.
When connecting battery-equipped electronic devices, ensure they feature built-in reverse current protection. Unprotected devices can backfeed current into the vehicle's electrical network and trigger system failures.
NOTE
Do not connect another vehicle’s Tyre Mobility Kit (TMK) compressor directly to this power outlet. A mismatch in electrical power requirements between the vehicle's auxiliary circuit and an external TMK compressor can cause overheating, blown fuses, or fire hazards.
