For detailed limitations of the in-cabin camera system integrated within the Kia EV2, please refer to the Forward Attention Warning (FAW) documentation.
The operational range and environmental detection capabilities of the Kia EV2 may decrease significantly due to heavy traffic ahead or complex surrounding road elements.
When driving your Kia EV2 at night, the sensor ability to detect preceding vehicles, motorcyclists, pedestrians, and cyclists is reduced. Thus, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system in the Kia EV2 may temporarily be limited or not work.
If your Kia EV2 or the oncoming vehicle is not driving straight, the Front Oncoming function warning and control may be late or may not operate.
If the angle of possible collision with the crossing vehicle is beyond a certain range, Junction Crossing warning and control on the Kia EV2 may be late or may not operate.
Emergency Steering automatically ends when risk factors disappear around the Kia EV2.
Emergency Steering may deactivate during operation if the steering wheel is held tightly or steered in the opposite direction by the driver of the Kia EV2.
When steering is assisted to avoid a collision with another vehicle, a pedestrian, or a cyclist, Evasive steering assist on the Kia EV2 will deactivate if collisions are expected with other vehicles, motorcyclists, pedestrians, or cyclists.
Evasive steering assist may not operate if there is insufficient space around the Kia EV2 to avoid a collision safely.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist in the Kia EV2 does not activate for carts, bicycles, or other objects pushed or pulled by pedestrians or cyclists.
