AC charge
You can effortlessly charge your Kia EV2 by connecting to a standard AC charger installed at your residence or an accessible public charging station, ensuring reliable daily energy replenishment. For more comprehensive information, please refer to the dedicated AC charge guidelines.
DC charge
You can rapidly recharge your vehicle at high speeds using DC fast-charging terminals at public charging networks during long journeys. Please refer to the respective company's manual provided for each specific DC charger type to ensure proper operation.
High-voltage battery performance and long-term durability can gradually deteriorate if you rely continuously on fast DC chargers without alternating with slower AC methods.
Minimize the frequency of high-power DC charging sessions whenever possible to help prolong the overall service life of the high voltage battery in your Kia EV2.
Portable charge
You can conveniently charge your electric vehicle using standard household electricity when specialized charging stations are unavailable. The electrical outlet at your home must strictly comply with local safety regulations and be fully capable of safely accommodating the Voltage, Current (Amps), and Power (Watts) ratings specified on the portable charger. Please note that the portable charging cable is sold separately as an accessory.

Depending on the current state of health and durability of the high voltage battery, external charger specifications, and ambient environmental temperature, the exact time required for charging your Kia EV2 might vary significantly.
The actual physical appearance of the external charger unit and the precise connection method might vary according to the individual charger manufacturer.
For your absolute safety, your vehicle might automatically interrupt or stop charging if the external charging equipment is outdated, ungrounded, or defective. Try charging the vehicle with a different public charger that works properly.
When you initiate a charging session, please allow up to 3 extra minutes for the onboard systems to thoroughly check and diagnose the operational condition of the battery pack.
The portable charging cable is sold separately as an optional accessory package.
*: Depending on your specific geographic region, the In-Cable Control Box (ICCB) for trickle charging might not be provided standard with your electric vehicle.
