Whilst your Kia EV2 is powered ON, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control > Based on Driving Style. If Based on Driving Style is selected on the infotainment system screen, Smart Cruise Control operates based on how you drive, taking into account distance between vehicles, acceleration, and reaction speed.
You can adjust the driving style parameters manually to perfectly match your personal preferences.
TIP
If your Kia EV2 is equipped with Based on Driving Style, you can toggle between Based on driving mode and Based on driving style by navigating through Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Smart Cruise Control on the infotainment system screen.
Whilst Smart Cruise Control is operating with Based on driving style selected, pressing and holding the Vehicle Distance (
) button disables Based on driving mode. Press and hold the Vehicle Distance (
) button again to switch Smart Cruise Control back to Based on driving style mode.
Smart Cruise Control continuously learns your unique driving style exclusively while you are actively driving your Kia EV2.
When Based On Driving Style is disabled, your vehicle's operating profile (including inter-vehicle distance, acceleration response, and reaction speed) remains locked at the exact behavioral level established while the feature was active.
Whether Based On Driving Style is enabled or disabled, the displayed driving style characteristics may vary dynamically depending on real-time traffic conditions and driving patterns.
With the vehicle powered ON, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Driving Convenience > Overtaking Prevention on the infotainment system screen of your Kia EV2. Smart Cruise Control helps ensure that passing maneuvers are performed exclusively in the direction permitted according to local traffic flow regulations.
NOTE
In right-hand traffic countries, the system helps prevent your Kia EV2 from traveling faster than vehicles moving in the adjacent lane to the left. In left-hand traffic countries, it prevents your vehicle from traveling faster than vehicles in the lane to the right.
When traveling across international borders between countries with differing traffic directions, regional driving orientation is updated automatically only on vehicles equipped with navigation. If your Kia EV2 lacks a navigation system, turn off the USM menu prior to crossing borders into regions with opposite traffic rules.
Overtaking Prevention engages when the system determines that your Kia EV2 is likely to pass adjacent-lane traffic in the permitted direction at or above a specified velocity threshold. The system does not operate during abrupt deceleration events, so always maintain vigilant manual control.
WARNING
Towing a trailer or installing external cargo carriers on your Kia EV2 may reduce vehicle control stability. Disable this function if necessary and exercise heightened caution while driving.
Do not utilize this function when towing another vehicle or mounting auxiliary equipment that could compromise sensor calibration or alter the driving balance of your Kia EV2, as normal operation cannot be guaranteed.
