Warning Methods

To change the Warning Methods settings whilst your Kia EV2 is powered ON, tap Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Warning Methods on the central infotainment system touchscreen interface. You can adjust the following customisable setting:

  • Parking Safety Priority: Automatically lowers all other multimedia and audio system volumes whenever the Rear View Monitor is active, ensuring warning chimes are clearly heard.

TIP

  • Your custom Warning Methods preferences may also apply across the warning systems of other integrated driver assistance features.

  • Warning Methods configurations automatically maintain their last saved settings when you turn OFF and subsequently restart your vehicle.

  • The Warning Methods settings menu layout and options may vary or might not be available depending on specific trim levels and vehicle specifications.

Camera Settings

Whilst your Kia EV2 is powered ON, tap the setup configuration icon (Kia EV2 settings gear icon) or navigate via Setup > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Camera Settings on the infotainment display screen to modify the Rear View Monitor camera settings.

Extended Rear View Monitor

If you activate the Extended Rear View Monitor setting in your Kia EV2, the rear camera video feed continues to display on the screen when you shift the gear selector from R (Reverse) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive).

Rear View Parking Guidance

If you activate the Rear View Parking Guidance setting, dynamic Rear View Parking Guidance lines and Top Rear View Parking Guidance overlays are rendered directly onto the rear monitor feed.

Display settings

You can fine-tune the display brightness (with distinct day and night profiles) and contrast levels of the camera image within the Display settings menu.

TIP

  • Depending on your specific Kia EV2 vehicle model specifications and regional package, certain camera settings menus may not be available.

  • The dynamic horizontal distance guide lines displayed by Rear View Parking Guidance indicate precise measured distances from the rear bumper of your vehicle of 0.5 m (20 in), 1 m (40 in), and 2.3 m (91 in).

  • The horizontal scale grid displayed by Top View Parking Guidance clearly indicates tailgate opening clearance requirements and the 1.5 m (60 in) safety distance perimeter from your vehicle.
