WARNING
Never attempt to operate or recall the integrated memory system while your Kia EV2 is moving, as sudden seat or mirror adjustments can cause a momentary loss of vehicle control and lead to a serious accident.
NOTE
Your saved memory preferences are securely retained even if the vehicle battery is disconnected.
If the integrated memory system experiences an operational fault, have it inspected promptly by a professional workshop; Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer or service partner.
Shift into P (Park) while the EV button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
Adjust the driver’s seat and outside rearview mirror angles to your ideal driving positions.
Press and hold memory button 1 or 2 until the system emits an audible single beep and a confirmation message reading “Driver 1 (or 2) settings saved” appears on the infotainment screen of your Kia EV2.
Shift into P (Park) while the EV button is active in the ON position.
Press your assigned memory button (1 or 2). The system will chime with a single beep, and the driver’s seat and outside rearview mirrors will automatically adjust to your stored preferences, displaying a “Driver 1 (or 2) settings applied” notification on the infotainment display.
Perform the following sequence to reset the integrated memory system on your Kia EV2 whenever it fails to function correctly.
Bring the vehicle to a complete stop, shift to P (Park), keep the EV button in the ON position, and open the driver’s door.
Power the driver’s seat and seatback forward to their absolute foremost position.
Simultaneously press and hold the seatback angle forward switch and the forward seat sliding switch for more than 2 seconds to complete the system recalibration.
The system initiates the calibration sequence accompanied by a distinct notification tone.
The driver’s seat cushion and seatback automatically slide and tilt toward the rearward limit while the audible tone continues.
The driver’s seat and seatback then smoothly re-adjust forward to their default central baseline position along with the ongoing notification tone.
However, the active resetting procedure and notification sound will immediately abort and stop if any of the following interruption events occur:
You press either of the integrated memory preset buttons.
You manually manipulate any of the seat control switches.
You shift the transmission gear out of the P (Park) position.
The vehicle driving speed exceeds 5 km/h (3 mph).
You close the driver’s side door.
NOTE
If the resetting sequence is interrupted and terminates prematurely before completion, restart the entire integrated memory system calibration procedure from the beginning.
Always verify that the cabin floor and tracks around the driver’s seat are completely free of obstruction before initiating the reset sequence in your Kia EV2.
Once the integrated memory system has been successfully reset, you must re-save your preferred driving position settings in order to recall them later.
Outside rearview mirror
Instrument clusterIf equipped, there is a small convex mirror built into the upper and outer corner of the driver outside mirror. It can show objects that may be in the vehicle's blind zone.
Driving with the Blind Spot Mirror

Actual Mirror View
When the approaching vehicle is a long distance away, the image in the main mirror is small and near the inboard edge of the mirror. As the vehicle gets closer, the image in the main mirror gets larger and moves outboard. As the vehicle enters the blind zone, the image transitions from the main mirror to the blind spot mirror. When the vehicle is in the blind zone, the image only appears in the blind spot mirror.
