Kia EV2: Mirrors / Inside rearview mirror

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Driver adjustments / Mirrors / Inside rearview mirror

Adjust the interior rearview mirror prior to departure so that you have a clear, centered perspective through the rear window.

Ensure that cargo or passengers do not stack items in the back seat that could obstruct your rear visibility.

WARNING

Mirror adjustment

Never attempt to adjust the rearview mirror while driving your Kia EV2, as taking your attention off the road can lead to a loss of control.

WARNING

Do not modify the inside mirror housing or attach bulky panoramic slip-on mirrors, as these modifications can detach or interfere with cabin airbag deployment during an impact.

NOTE

Mirror cleaning

Clean glass surfaces using a microfiber towel or paper towel dampened with dedicated glass cleaner. Never spray liquid directly onto the mirror assembly, as fluid can seep inside the electronics.

  2. Night

Perform initial mirror alignment before driving while the adjustment tab is set to the standard day position (1).

Pull the adjustment tab toward you into position (2) during night driving to cut down on blinding glare from trailing headlamps.

Note that utilizing the night setting slightly alters optical reflectivity and rearview clarity.

Electric Chromic Mirror (ECM): (if equipped)

The Electronic Chromic Mirror automatically dims harsh headlight glare from vehicles approaching from behind during night trips and low-light conditions.

A built-in optical sensor on the mirror housing continually monitors ambient light levels around your Kia EV2 to dynamically adjust reflection intensity whenever the electrical system is active.
