Charging indicator light

This dynamic indicator illuminates to provide immediate visual feedback when charging the high voltage battery of your Kia EV2.

Drive ready indicator

This essential driver interface indicator appears when the vehicle is fully initialized and ready to be driven safely on the road.

• ON: Normal driving conditions and propulsion systems are fully functional.

• OFF: Normal driving is not possible, indicating that the electrical system is inactive or a critical problem has occurred.

• Blinking: Emergency driving mode is engaged to help you safely move out of traffic.

When the ready indicator goes OFF or blinks unexpectedly, there is a technical anomaly within the high-voltage or propulsion system of your Kia EV2. Battery Conditioning mode indicator light

This specialized indicator appears dynamically when Battery Conditioning Mode is activated, ensuring your Kia EV2 prepares its battery pack for optimal charging efficiency in varying weather conditions.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator light

This indicator light illuminates as part of the startup self-diagnosis and active safety monitoring:

• Once you set the EV Button to the ON position.

  • It illuminates steadily for approximately 3 seconds during system checks and then automatically goes off.

• When there is a functional malfunction detected within the Electronic Stability Control system.

  In this case, have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner to restore full safety performance.

This indicator light blinks actively whilst the electronic stability control is dynamically operating to maintain optimal traction.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF indicator light

This indicator light illuminates to show the current operational status of your vehicle dynamics:

• Once you set the EV Button to the ON position.

  • It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds as a bulb check and then goes off.

• When you explicitly deactivate the ESC system by pressing the ESC OFF button on the dashboard.

Immobiliser indicator light (with smart key)

This advanced security indicator light illuminates for up to 30 seconds during authentication:

• When the vehicle detects the smart key inside the cabin properly whilst the EV button is in the POWER ON position.

  • At this time, vehicle authorization is confirmed and you can start the propulsion system.

  • The indicator light automatically goes off after successfully starting the vehicle.

This indicator light blinks briefly for a few seconds:

• When the authorized smart key is not detected inside the vehicle cabin.

  • At this time, safety protocols prevent you from starting the vehicle.

This indicator light illuminates for 2 seconds and then goes off:

• When the vehicle fails to properly authenticate a smart key located inside the cabin whilst the EV Button is set to the POWER ON position.

This indicator light blinks to warn the driver:

• When the internal battery of the smart key is critically weak or depleted.

  • At this time, normal wireless recognition may fail and you may not start the vehicle conventionally. However, you can still start your Kia EV2 by pressing the EV Button directly with the smart key body. (For more details, refer to Immobiliser system).

• When there is an underlying electronic malfunction with the immobiliser security network.

KEY OUT indicator light

This warning indicator light blinks to alert vehicle occupants:

When the authorized smart key is completely removed from the vehicle and any door is subsequently opened while the EV button remains in the POWER ON position.

Turn signal indicator light

This directional indicator light blinks rhythmically:

• When you activate the directional turn signal stalk to indicate an upcoming lane change or turn.

If any of the following abnormal behaviors occur, there may be an electrical malfunction within the turn signal system. In this case, have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.

• The indicator light remains solidly illuminated instead of blinking.

• The indicator light blinks at a significantly more rapid frequency than normal.

• The indicator light fails to illuminate or flash at all when commanded.

Low beam indicator light

This exterior lighting indicator light illuminates:

• When the low beam exterior headlights of your Kia EV2 are actively switched on for night or low-visibility driving.

High beam indicator light

This powerful illumination indicator light illuminates:

• When the exterior headlights are fully active and positioned in the long-range high beam setting.

• When the steering column turn signal lever is pulled temporarily into the active Flash-to-Pass position.

High Beam Assist indicator light

This smart illumination indicator light illuminates:

• When the high beam headlights are managed automatically with the exterior light switch set in the AUTO light position.

• If your vehicle optical sensors detect oncoming or preceding traffic, causing the High Beam Assist system to seamlessly switch high beams to low beams.

Light ON indicator light

This core status indicator light illuminates:

• When the vehicle's perimeter tail lights, parking lights, or main headlights are currently switched on.

Rear fog indicator light : (if equipped)

This high-visibility safety indicator light illuminates:

• When the dedicated rear fog lights are turned on to pierce through heavy dense fog or precipitation.

AUTO HOLD indicator light

This convenience braking indicator light illuminates in different colors based on status:

• White: When you actively enable the AUTO HOLD system by pressing the physical AUTO HOLD button.

• Green: When the vehicle is held completely stationary at a standstill by depressing the brake pedal with the AUTO HOLD system actively engaged.

• Yellow: When a system fault or electronic malfunction occurs with the AUTO HOLD feature.

Lane Safety indicator light : (if equipped)

Lane Safety indicator light will illuminate when you turn Lane Keeping Assist on by pressing and holding the Lane Driving Assist button on your steering wheel.

If there is an operational problem with the safety function or if you manually deselect Lane Safety, the warning yellow Lane Safety indicator light will illuminate.

Lane Following Assist indicator light : (if equipped)

Lane Following Assist indicator will illuminate when you activate Lane Following Assist by pressing the dedicated Lane Driving Assist button.

If there is a system malfunction or sensor blockage affecting the function, the yellow Lane Following Assist indicator will illuminate.

This customizable performance indicator light illuminates:

• When you select your preferred profile within the integrated drive mode system of the Kia EV2.

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist indicator light

This driver-assist speed indicator light illuminates under specific conditions:

• When the EV button is placed in the POWER ON position, illuminating for about 3 seconds during initial checks and then going off.

• Yellow: When Intelligent Speed Limit Assist is manually switched off, disabled via settings, or an operational malfunction is detected.

If the yellow indicator light remains permanently on after the front view camera has been uncovered or unblocked, have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.

Highway Lane Change Assist indicator light: (if equipped)

This advanced highway assist indicator light appears with specific color coding:

• Green: When Highway Lane Change Assist is fully active and ready for safe highway operation.

• Grey: When Highway Lane Change Assist is in system standby mode waiting for road criteria.

This indicator light blinks:

• Green: When Highway Lane Change Assist is actively steering and executing a lane change maneuver.

• White: When Highway Lane Change Assist operation is cancelled by the driver or road conditions.
