  1. Check Active Air Flap system

The active air flap system may not operate normally if the air flap is temporarily opened due to foreign factors or if the controller is contaminated by snow, ice, or rain.

When the warning message pops up on the display, stop your Kia EV2 in a safe place and check the physical status of the air flap.

Start the vehicle after performing necessary maintenance like foreign matter removal and waiting approximately 10 minutes. If the pop-up warning remains active, have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer or service partner.

CAUTION

  • Even if the warning message is not displayed, if the air flaps appear visually asymmetrical on vehicles with an exposed flap design, turn off the vehicle and restart after about 10 minutes to inspect the air flap operation.

  • The active air flap system is actuated by precision electric motors. Do not manually obstruct actuation or apply excessive force, as this may cause permanent mechanical failure.

NOTE

The active air flap system could activate automatically regardless of the vehicle condition, such as during parking, driving, or charging.
