Always ensure that your vehicle's floor mats are securely attached to the designated floor anchors to prevent them from sliding forward during travel.

When installing any floor mat on the front floor carpeting of your Kia EV2, always make sure it locks firmly onto the built-in floor mat anchors. This mechanical attachment keeps the mat securely in place and prevents it from shifting forward.

Aftermarket floor mat

• Never install aftermarket floor mats that lack proper attachment grommets or cannot be securely locked onto the vehicle’s dedicated floor mat anchors.

  Unsecured floor mats can slide around and dangerously interfere with foot pedal operation.

• To avoid any potential obstruction of the accelerator and brake pedals, always use correctly sized floor mats that fit snugly and are not overly thick. Make sure to completely peel off any protective plastic film left on the factory carpets during vehicle delivery before installing your floor mats, as slippery plastic can prevent the fixing rings from locking properly, leaving the mats loose.

  Pay special attention to the driver’s side floor mats, because loose or migrating mats can catch on the pedals, leading to unintended acceleration or delayed braking responses. Always double-check that all protective films are stripped away before laying down mats.

Observe the following safety guidelines when installing ANY floor mat in the vehicle:

• Ensure that all floor mats are properly and securely attached to the vehicle’s floor mat anchors before driving your Kia EV2.

• Do not use any floor mat that cannot be firmly and securely locked onto the factory floor mat anchoring system.

• Never stack multiple floor mats on top of one another (for instance, placing a heavy all-weather rubber mat directly over a carpeted floor mat). Only a single floor mat should be installed in each designated seating position.
