Kia EV2: Seating and safety restraints / ISOFIX low anchorage and ISOFIX top tether anchorage (ISOFIX anchorage system) for children

Kia EV2 (QV1, 2026-2026) Owner's Manual / Seating and safety restraints / ISOFIX low anchorage and ISOFIX top tether anchorage (ISOFIX anchorage system) for children

The integrated ISOFIX system holds a Child Restraint System securely in place during everyday driving and unexpected collision scenarios. This advanced system is specifically engineered to make the installation of a Child Restraint System much easier while minimizing the probability of improper installation. The ISOFIX system utilizes rigid structural anchors built directly into the vehicle cabin and matching attachment fixtures on the Child Restraint System itself, effectively eliminating the need to use standard seat belts for securing the safety seat to the rear bench.

ISOFIX low anchorages consist of robust metal bars built permanently into the vehicle frame structure. There are two distinct ISOFIX low anchorages provided for each compatible ISOFIX seating position to safely accommodate a compatible Child Restraint System.

To utilize the ISOFIX system within your Kia EV2, you must ensure that your child safety seat is equipped with compatible ISOFIX attachment arms.

The Child Restraint System manufacturer will provide comprehensive documentation and instructions explaining how to engage the safety seat with its attachments into the vehicle's ISOFIX anchorages.

ISOFIX low anchorages are conveniently provided in the left and right outboard rear seating positions of your Kia EV2. Their precise locations are clearly marked in the accompanying illustration.

WARNING

Do not under any circumstances attempt to install a Child Restraint System using ISOFIX low anchorages in the rear center seating position of your Kia EV2. There are no dedicated ISOFIX low anchorages provided for the center seat. Attempting to use the outboard vehicle anchorages for a center seating installation can structurally damage the anchorages and compromise safety.
